Hồ Quang Minh (Hanoi, 1949) is a Vietnamese-born Swiss film director.〔(Le Temps Révolu 2004 )〕 He left Vietnam to study in Russia in 1962, then worked in France as an assistant on Lê Lâm's ''Poussière d'empire'', before studying in Switzerland and taking Swiss citizenship.〔New York Magazine - 20 Jul 1987 - Page 65 Vol. 20, No. 28 "... drama of a South Vietnamese soldier and his fiancee, set in Saigon during the late 1960s.
